Creating inclusive sporting environments requires everyone to understand and challenge sexism where it exists. Designed for coaches, volunteers, officials, club leaders and participants, this course explores the impact of sexism and misogyny in sport, the barriers faced by women and girls, and the actions individuals and organisations can take to promote equality and inclusion.
By the end of the course, learners should be able to:
- Identify examples of sexism and misogyny and understand their impact in sport.
- Recognise barriers that can affect the participation and progression of women and girls in sport.
- Understand the importance of allyship and inclusive behaviours in creating positive sporting environments.
- Reflect on their own practice and identify areas for improvement within their club or organisation.
