Coaching is fundamentally about helping others learn. This course introduces key learning theories for coaches, focusing on how practical ideas can be applied within your own coaching. It provides a foundation for understanding learning in coaching and how others learn. Learners will also reflect on the current and desired culture within their club and/or team.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Understand why learning objectives might not be the best way to frame your own coaching.
- Explore ways of thinking about participant learning over the short, medium and long term.
- Understand the concept of intentions for impact and how you can use these in practice.
- Develop options in your own coaching to use the two tools you already have available.
