Many people experience self-doubt, even when they are capable, qualified and successful. Designed for coaches, volunteers, officials and leaders in sport, this course explores what imposter syndrome is, who it affects, and how it can influence confidence, performance and decision-making. Through self-reflection and practical strategies, learners will develop a greater understanding of the imposter cycle and identify ways to build confidence and overcome self-limiting beliefs.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- Explain what imposter syndrome is and recognise how it can affect individuals in sport.
- Identify the characteristics and stages of the imposter cycle.
- Reflect on their own experiences of self-doubt and confidence.
- Apply practical tools and strategies to challenge imposter thoughts and break the cycle.
- Develop positive habits and self-beliefs to support confidence, wellbeing and performance.
